Position Summary
Provide engineering, design and analysis capabilities to support the development of new control systems used in inspection and service products.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop concept of operations (CONOPS) at both the system and detail level
Participate in technical reviews
Design or evaluate topside and subsea control systems
Design or check engineering calculations / analysis for subsea control systems
Design and evaluate PLC Software for complex controls systems
Design and evaluate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for complex controls systems
Lead operational risk assessment activities, such as HazID and HazOP
Perform time studies in support of technical trade studies
Develop and implement training programs
Develop and implement asset tracking and maintenance programs
Develop operational procedures
Develop testing procedures for qualification, factory acceptance, and offshore readiness testing
Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalente
Fluent in English
Experience developing control systems
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Ability to analyze complex controls circuits
Knowledge of PLC architecture development (Rockwell Preferred), safety function definition, component selection (Topside and Subsea), circuit design, requirements development, trade study, block diagram development and Bills of Material
Qualifications (Desired)
Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other CAD packages
Experience with electro-hydraulic control systems
Knowledge of systems engineering processes
Knowledge of reliability engineering processes
Knowledge of operations in the subsea industry
Location: Downtown, Rio de Janeiro – RJ
